ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a sensor validation engineer who will conduct validation tests for various sensors (Sound, RF, UV, visible, NIR, SWIR, LWIR, and so forth) with internally developed algorithms including AI machine learning (ML) in order to push the boundaries of what's possible with various sensors/cameras on our EagleEye products. You will collaborate with sensor/camera engineers/architects, computer vision scientists, and optical experts to evaluate emerging sensor technologies. Your work will directly impact on Anduril's ability to deliver cutting-edge defense technology, with the opportunity to identify and develop novel sensor applications across our product portfolio.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate next-generation sensor technologies and enhance test methodologies
- Collect and perform statistical analysis on test data, correlating results with performance metrics
- Support debugging, root cause analysis, and problem-solving activities
- Provide high-quality electrical/optical test infrastructure and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or other scripting languages for data collection and analysis is required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities
- Experience in electrical and functional validation within a lab environment.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as power supplies, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, function generators, and multimeters
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex datasets and present results
- Experience with optical test bench setup
- Proficiency in Python and MATLAB, or other scripting languages
- Strong technical communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in sensor/camera validation, including reviewing and authoring validation plans and reports
- Solid understanding of sensors, optics, cameras, and signal processing
- Familiarity with signal processing including AI ML
